Lil Kim – Don’t call it a comeback… its a promo

Don’t call it a comeback it you are the Queen B! Looks like someone else is also seeking to make 2012 a banger! Lil Kim’s promo is simply everything! She is totally the girl next door and what every man want; Looking at this image, I want her lol! Coming back with some Christian Louboutin slingbacks with The Blonds black dress clearly makes a statement she means business..

Givenchy S/S 2012 campaign ad

Supermodel Gisele Bündchen along with Chris Moore & Simone Nobili featured in the latest campaign for Givenchy. They are clearly not wearing any surf wear, but there is no doubt Riccard Tisci‘s creative director is in like swim wear. For some reason, photographers Mert and Marcus still made sure we concentrate on the garments despite the juxtaposition regards to contrast of scenery.

Move Like Jagger

Raquel Zimmerman channeling her inner edgy rock mode for the music issue of Paris Vogue. Styled in Givenchy, Giorgio Armani, Haider Ackermann, and Kenzo by Emmanuelle Alt (the editor in chief), who happens to have a rock and roll look herself. Just based on Emmanuelle Alt’s sense of style, it was a no brainer to interpret the music issue as well as other musical influences of Mick Jagger, David Bowie, etc.

Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls – Chanel S/S 2012 campaign

It appears that models Saskia de Brauw and Joan Smalls are synced in “All white everything” for the latest campaign ad for Chanel. Karl Lagerfeld happens to be a pretty good photographer. This image is slightly different from some of his recent, which is a good thing.

Jason Wu – Pre-fall collection

Presenting the images for Jason Wu’s pre fall collection 2012. I would have to be honest, I have been aware of Jason Wu, but never really take the time to pay attention to his work (until Michelle Obama paid homage for the dress he designed for her). This collection is extraordinary! nice silhouettes, beautiful jackets, and a nice balance of fur surely does the trick! He really is showing he’s going to be one of the premiere American designers like Oscar De La Renta, Michael Kors and others. The cuts and the color palette delivered a Marc Jacobs-esque element, but maybe that was just. Needless to say, this is a great collection. This is classical American womenswear that can be passed down to generations. I am eagerly anticipating on what tricks he’s gonna pull out for the target collection.

Vman – The fighter

Vman magazine happened to do a fashion editioral paying homage to the legend Bruce Lee. Through the lens of CEDRIC BUCHET and styling by SABINA SCHREDER, they did a kick ass job depicting the martial arts legend! There is no way any one on the face of this earth were unable to not recognize the iconic poses and his signature side kick.

I am not sure whether Next model, Rock Ji, knew any form of martial arts. Needless to say, the re-enacting to Bruce’s pose were more enough to receive a good nod (rather a thumbs up).

As you can see, the choice of garments for the shoot reflected Bruce Lee’s style. denim jeans by Hudson accessorized with a G-star belt and Z for Zegna shades for capture the essence many people seen him in the magazines. Other brands such as, Y-3, Louis Vuitton, Ralph Lauren, and Diesel Black Gold were added in the shoot anchor his look. Applying martial arts and fashion is always a win win in my book!
