Milan fashion Week: Gucci – A/W 2012 collection

This fall collection from Gucci was taking inspiration from the 19th century. Frida Giannini refers to the look as a Beheminian Grunge look. Working the fabrics of velvet, silk and brocade, the show was rounded out a high class aesthetic completed with pleated trousers and fitted jackets for the ultimate season of luxury.

Throughout the collection, the only appealing pieces were the outerwear. The velvet military jackets were simply exquisite. I would not really say this is my overall favorite collection from Gucci, but its not their worse.
