The Maison Martin Margiela fashion show featured an alternative twist in their menswear collection. There is no gray area when it comes to taking fashion risks. For example, they took the concept “opposites attract” on another level with the half business trouser/denim jeans. This is not necessarily different from some of the previous collection (particularly the H&M collection). Granted some of the pieces requires an acquired approach to style. You never have to worry about everyone rocking the collection. I love it!
#tbt one of the reasons why I love #maisonmartinmargiela is because of a similar design of the #nike boot from the first #batman movie. The unfathomable love for the Belgian designer’s aesthetic was almost like love at first sight.. I have no idea this was the inspiration but it only sufficed to think it was!!
Very sleek and minimal designs captivated by the latest collection for Rad Hourani. The label is synonymous for its unisex garments, which express the perspective like designers such as Yohji Yamamoto. Sometimes fashion should provide equality. Equality should not become a glass ceiling towards ones approach to life or sense of style. In fact, we all are inspired from the opposite sex. One way or another, we share ideas and emotions in which creates a dichotomy energy circulating our existence. Personally, there are some items I would love to work; On the other hand, there are some which I would not even bother. However, it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t look great on anyone else lol.

Rick Owens has always executed stunning collections. He is the forefather of the Goth Ninja movement. His avant garde aesthetic is shown gratitude from fashion enthusiasts to celebrities such as Jay Z, Taboo from the Black Eyed Peas, and especially A$AP Rocky. This time he has taken a left turn from the norm by showcasing his Spring/Summer 2014 womenswear collection with black models. Keep in mind, these models are not your typical models who look like superficial barbie dolls..The runway show was already shown at an intense start as the models began a militant charged synchronization. The stepping reminds me of my days being on the yard in college! Stomping down the runway beautifully structured garments in neutral tones of gray, black and ivory.
These models are from all shapes and sizes. A designer who lacks integrity who never dare to compose a collection with a high number of black models (let alone if they are past a size 6)! Garments were not walked in human hangers. These are women walking. Women who are being represented as you are walking down the street, at the store or in the office. Rick Owens is taking the Yeezus approach to break the system of what art and fashion should be represented. The shackles are beginning to break thanks to an American fashionable outcast such as Rick Owens. However, I am concerned if this was executed with pure generosity. It would be ashamed if this solely used as shock value. In the meantime, I salute to you sir! Job well done!!

Julius, oh how much I love that name (it was my brother’s name)! cult Japanese brand JULIUS has established an avant-garde look that retains the gothic styling of past signature collections. With an all black palette, designer Tatsuro Horikawa tends to give a somewhat Rick Owens approach with its futuristic looks. I love the draping on the Top garments! It really delivers an androgynous feel.
One thing is for certain is people who are sleeping on Adidas. The adidas SLVR Fashion Mid Strap delivers an avant-garde take on their shoe designs. Featuring a slender belt that snakes up from the heel and buckles around the back, the SLVR line gives the other designer shoes a run for their money!

Some people outside of urban fashion may not heard his name or face on regular basis, but this New York bred tastemaker has been putting in work!! Styling newcomer artist, Miguel and Designed the garment for Usher‘s OMG tour is only the tip of the iceberg of his work.
Now featuring his debut collection to the fashion is going to scream another level of creativeness into the atmosphere. His debut collection was featured recently. Aesthetically, the collection is brilliant. LV ( mainly knows “LV the stylist” ) uses alot of leather which is a pretty brave material to use; yet, his design would make any fashion male or female wanna step out! Never be afraid to step out when you never want to fit in the crowd in first place.
The campaign video along with his styling in the past couple years is futuristic ghetto chic! featured in my opinion is giving Gareth Pugh, Rick Owens, and even Rad Hourani a run for their money already! very excited to see what he has to offer in the future. Check out his blog, Evident Future
Folks out there would like to know WTF is the concept of these shades. With avant garde designer, Jeremy Scott, on the project, should never be any words to describe! The glasses that are featured are the recent collaboration with Linda Farrow and Jeremy Scott.
Both of these designers are well known for their innovative yet appealing items! There are currently two different colorways on the shades, which are pretty standard sunglasses colors. Any other colors would perhaps looks like they came out of a beauty supply store along the rest of the bootleg items, #knockitoff.
Honestly, these glasses seems to be an evolution of the shutter shades worn by Kanye West in the stronger video (FYI, Sho’ Nuff Rocked them before Ye did!).
Some folks out there would complain the above average price ($260); however, the question is would rather be exclusive or like everyone else. Hell I would be crazy enough to buy these and rock them like there’s no tomorrow! Some people are afraid to open their eyes and seek to broaden their horizons. shame on them!
