AMI continues to stay true!

It’s not often you actually see a fashion show where you admire EVERY piece. Sometimes you have to break down each ensemble be somewhat satisfied or to see someone else rock with complete justice. However, AMI has been on the scene for a few short years and hasn’t missed a bit. This is a label who creates clothing for people without trying to “play fashion” by looking like jackasses!

AMI’s collection gives the “don’t take clothing so seriously” vibe. The magic is so put on something dope and forget you even have it on that’s what makes them so great! Sometimes we focus too much about who know wearing. We need to let our style do the talking!

Valentino – Fall collection 2012

Maria Grazia Chiuri and Pier Paolo Piccioli’s challenge was to try and infuse couture into the traditions of menswear with their Valentino Fall 2012 Collection. Pitti Uomo in Florence was the stage for their offerings which was an extended celebration of sorts, as it was the 15th anniversary of Valentino staging his first fashion show in the very same city. I am kinda question the silhouette of the jackets; however, the fabric is excellant.

Gareth Pugh

Whoever said that Goth and High Fashion doesn’t co-exist? Fashion designer Gareth Pugh certainly does know how to make exquisite pieces with the beautiful works of leather and the draping is incredible.

G-star Raw spring/summer collection 2011

I have been aware of G-star for a number of years now. Each collection has never gave the slightest sense of disappointment. This collection consists of Asymetrical sheer blouses, dark rinse sleeveless denim shirts, and just hardcore denim.

The denim already gives an subtle masculine approach. Their jeans did give me a slight baggy appearance, which make me question if this is the beginning of the 90s trend approaching (baggy clothes, stay at home); however, the cut from the pants were not exaggerated and everyone can wear them.

Betsey Johnson Fall Collection 2011 NY fashion week

Its edgy.. its fearless.. noneoftheless, chic! Women everywhere has that edge which Betsey Johnson always bring out! Floral prints to exotic animal prints has always been her signature, but this time she gave a more gothic look to provide the juxtaposition of various elements. I don’t know any woman who doesn’t love her work . Its like saying a gangsta don’t like Scarface. She gives you everything and more!

Louis Vuitton fall 2011

No Marc Jacobs, whud?? Well it appears Louis Vuitton is under a new direction with a new creative director, Paul Helbers. However, we all know that it is Louis Vuitton so there is no wrong with that! Minimal appears to be main trend from the runways this year. Muted hues with a pop of color with that cardinal red with a sleek looking silhouette giving you another interpretation of sophisitcation Louis Vuitton style. From the black velvet suits to windowpane tops, I am sure Paul Helbers is gonna do well. Lets just hope it maintains the Louis Vuitton it has been since forever!

Lanvin for H&M Haute Couture Fashion Show

Once again another Lanvin for H&M presented by yours truly! I must say I can not resist the aesthetic Aber Elbaz possess into his work. The only thing I hate is the fact the collection was so fucking limited!! I wish there was more stuff like this because I am sick and tired of seeing chicks rocking BeBe thinking its haute couture or even avant garde with those overrated egos. Enough of my venting, enjoy.
