In recent news from the Orange County Reporter, there is a restaurant owner, Peter Valaskantjis, who is extremely passionate about mixed martial arts decided to host a fight with a purpose! This purpose is to help raise money for a young teenager who currently has a rare form of cancer. The Orange County native has set up an MMA event called CSP fight night later this month in California.
The goal is to have approximately three fights a year to help raise money. UFC, Strikeforce, or not this is what you seriously call fighting for a cause (literally)! Someone is using a creative approach in the martial arts to benefit others. Really hope this will be a trend in the martial arts for the people. We need a strong come back in the art!
