Bow in the presence of Greatness

Hip hop producer/rapper/designer/creative genius Kanye West is big stranger to being in the limelight. Next month he will be feature and cover August GQ issue. Due to the constant creative projects and family festivities, I am very anxious to see what GQ has in store. We all will be on pins and needles to witness the greatness ahead!

Coming out in that new wang looking like Liu Kang

1389894661667_alexander-wang-fall-winter-2014-10The upcoming fall 2014 collection for Alexander Wang appears to be very promising. Since 2008, it has not been a dull moment for the designer. Being best friends with ASAP Rocky, giving free garments in NYC, being creative director for Balenciaga, being referenced on the Yeezus album is just a few of his accolades lately. In addition, I believe this collection truly demonstrates why he’s always in popular demand. He keeps it real and dark. However, the collection decided to flirt with colors of dusty tan or reddish-brown. It also appears leather is not going to be taking a backseat in the trend department anytime soon. Overall, I love how he uses basic garments (i.e. sweatshirts and sweatpants) and create in the most luxurious way which is simply irresistible.

Daft Punk has been treated quite well so far in 2013! First, they had a rock’d out feature with Saint Laurent Paris campaign, launched a hit album and produced 4 tracks for the “hate it or absolutely love it” album, Yeezus. Now, the french electronic duo paired with supermodel Karlie Kloss in a chic for the upcoming August 2013 Vogue Issue. Through the lens of Craig McDean,, the trio explored through the city and music studio with captivated techno edgy chic ensembles of Lanvin, Givenchy, Vera Wang and Alexander McQueen while they are harmonized with subtle minimal suits. Out of the entire shoot, I love how Vogue manages to create ensemble style friendly for each age group.

I must admit these robots guys know how to rock some nice suits! who would ever thought that was case because I am sold!! One thing about Daft Punk is they are truly honest about their material.. No fucks are given when its comes to artistic control from label heads and critics alike. Overall, this is a pretty dope spread and can’t wait what else they may “get lucky” with in 2013!
