Ibn Jasper x Diamond Supply Co. 2012 Fall/Winter “Miami” Capsule Collection for UNKNWN

On the heels of a successful launch of the premier collection in October, Diamond Supply Co. presents its newest addition to its ongoing collaboration with Ibn Jasper – a special Miami capsule for LeBron James‘s UNKNWN store – as well as the surrounding festivities for Art Basel. The Jasper Shoe is a sleek moccasin-inspired sneaker with a focus on luxury, recreated in premium white snake suede and highlighted by diamond blue accents on the sole and tongue and Miami orange on the inside. Complimenting the footwear are two pieces of apparel – a pocket T-shirt and a longsleeve T-shirt with sophisticated “DMND” branding and graphic hits reminiscent of the shoe’s new colorway. While the original Jasper collection was limited to 100 pairs, the new Miami-inspired colorway will be even more exclusive and limited to just 75 pairs – with 50 pairs available online on December 8 at noon PST and the remaining 25 pairs available in-store only at UNKNWN Miami on the same day at 2 p.m. EST.

Rondo interning for GQ

Boston Celtics player Rajon Rondo will be switching his gym bag for a man bag by interning for GQ. My fellow Louisville native will be learning a thing or two about menswear in the fashion industry. The intern will be making blog post, critiques with the fashion/style savvy magazine. Anyone who nows me will know I am a Miami Heat fan. However, Rajon Rondo is from the Derby City so I had to give some love for this post. After all, its good to see another player whose taken interest in their style along Amare’, Lebron James and D Wade. I am not hating on the guy because at least one of us is putting the city on, for now!

Unknwn Store Launches in Miami

This weekend Lebron James’ Unknwn launched this weekend in Miami. One of his business partners happens to be no other than Chris Julian (brother of my homie/mentor Carmichael Simon) which already seals the deal on certified dopeness!!

Lebron happens to develop a great sense of style off the court. With this business venture, I am more sure its going to turn out to be quite successful. The retail store will be selling high end urban apparel such as APC, Billionaire Boys Club, Original Fake, etc. The store wouldn’t be complete if there are not going to be any exclusive sneakers!

Wonder if the Watch the Throne Lebrons will be sold exclusively at the store? hmmmm..

Lebron James launches Unknwn

Word on the street is Miami Heat’s star player, Lebron James, will be launching a urban boutique at his newfound home in Miami this fall. The store will be called unknwn. The figures behind the concept, which includes Lebron James, Chris Julian (Undefeated, Stussy, Fruition, Kanye West), Jaron Kanfer (co-founder of Blessed Label Clothing with Hurley), and Frankie Walker.

What is interesting about the inspiration of the store’s title based on Lebron’s hometown. Must admit its a pretty dope concept for a store which the irony of this boutique will lead towards popularity.

Being one of the most fashionable athletes alongside David Beckham and Dwayne Wade, there will be expectations regards to high end fashion. Labels such as, OriginalFake, Billionaire Boys Club, APC just to name a few will be held in Unknwn. If I must say so, I believe the biggest cash cow will be sneakers. Sneakerheads across the country will be looking forward towards this launch in November 2011.

Although this is a fashion and martial arts blog site, I had to do this! I don’t watch basketball often, but I am a Lebron James fan. The man is a monster, but he is after one thing, that championship ring. How can you be considered one of the best in your game without a fucking ring?!?!?!

If you help build a team towards relevancy throughout the years with no ring, what would you do? He was grateful for the moments being there, but he needed to venture elsewhere. We can not always stay stuck in our bubble because the world is ours for the taking. That is like your friend moving out of town for a better paying job and meanwhile, you calling him/her a sell out. Chile please!! sit down because people are hungry out here. do you want a plate?

Besides all of that, he is one of the very few flyest athletes out there. Featured in GQ magazine’s most stylish people. Sure glad it wasn’t Lamar Odom.
