Brace Yourself

One thing no one can not argue about is finding a great sale! Last week I was in the desperate need to find some accessories. Yes I would admit its quite strange being a man whose trying to find accessories lol. Whenever I’m on the search for such items, it MUST possess style and masculinity.

One of the great sites who happened to have great man bracelets is ASOS. There were a few set of bracelets which caught my eye. Each set had their own particular look  with different colors and textures. It is really easy to mix and match them where as it may appear you have dozens of differents bracelet sets. Each set originally ranged from $15 – $20, but I purchase all three sets for under $25. If you ask me, that is not a bad deal if you tend to make use of them.

Personally, the Aldo accessories are appealing, yet they are not as durable. I was tired of purchasing another set after 2 weeks. Yours truly is heavy handed, therefore, that is just my opinion. ASOS still have a few left!

Michael Vick at Fashion Week?

Making a play for the front row at New York Fashion Week: Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Michael Vick. A source tells us that a publicist for the NFL star “is asking around for Fashion Week invites.” It sounds like Vick is keen to develop links with the fashion world by following in the footsteps of Amar’e Stoudemire, who sat front row at Tommy Hilfiger Fall 2011 and later inked a deal to design a fashion line with Rachel Roy.

But we’re told Vick, who isn’t known for his sartorial sense, hasn’t quite been besieged with invites to sit with Anna Wintour and company. One Fashion Week insider told us, “Curious who will have him.”

Talk about when dogs can fly (no pun intended)! Honestly, I have never heard nor seen him brand himself as an athlete with  fashion interest. I strongly believe if this was taken seriously, he must brand himself as such and take it from there. I am very sure other fashion bloggers would back me up and reject the idea.

Lets them all just invite everyone to fashion week! Next thing you know Lamar Odom will be considered as a fashion icon! Its great to see athletes really taking their interest in the world of fashion, but I will have to see it to believe it.

Father/Son flow at the highlands

This past weekend I happened to take my son out for ice cream and walk around the highlands in Louisville..I was very resistant on the idea, but how can I say “no” to my son lol? One thing about my son is the fact he knows what he wants and will not stop to get it. It inspires me how much a small individual can be more driven than more grown ups despite how big or small things appear! I don’t think he is spoiled. He is just loved by yours truly.

In the photo, I chose to take my biker look look which consisted of my favorite ASOS leather jacket, my Dolce and GabbanaMickey Mouse” graphic t-shirt, John Varvatos Jeans, and the Jeremy Scott Adidas hi-tops (very rare shoe to find).. The look was entirely inspired from my son’s love for Mickey mouse. Although the shades and jacket provided an edge, but the shirt and sneakers neutralized the ensemble with a softness of an iconic child cartoon character. There is some uncertainty he does not know how much I spend for those pieces just to express a love he has.. Even though I still like the garments, I mainly did it for him.

My reflection as a blogger

I have been blogging for almost a year and a half. There have been some transitions from being a blogger. One of the great things is to actually provide a great way to express your aesthetic to the world. In my case, it is martial arts and fashion. During the beginning, I was really expressed my views and discussed life changing moments. Some of these moments were to have you all as the reader to gain empathy and apply into your own (my true inspiration for blogging).

Unfortunately, I have cheated alot of my blog viewers. There was an insufficient amount of original and personal information pertaining to myself. Sure I have post different martial artists, fashion models, designers, collections and campaigns, but there was not enough of me! It is only right for us to get to know the person who is writing these blogs.

Please do not take this the wrong way.  Bloggers should be able to obtain a voice which connect to the readers from their personal experiences.  This voice should be penetrate towards idealist who are going through the same issues whether its success, being ostracized, overcoming obstacles, etc.  Although the material I post on http://www.wuchicdo.com reflects my aesthetic, but its showing you, the real me!

Everything else will remain the same, but expect more adventures of William Mitchell (yours truly) on the blog.  Thanks for the support.

Julius – 2012 A/W Collection

Julius, oh how much I love that name (it was my brother’s name)! cult Japanese brand JULIUS has established an avant-garde look that retains the gothic styling of past signature collections. With an all black palette, designer Tatsuro Horikawa tends to give a somewhat Rick Owens approach with its futuristic looks. I love the draping on the Top garments! It really delivers an androgynous feel.

My kind of woman

Besides martial arts and fashion (also being a parent), I probably love SEXY women more! There is nothing better than seeing a woman who can hold her own whenever I am not around. She doesn’t have to fight or argue. Matter of fact, she can beat that bitch with a bottle lol! This example of that specimen is mixed martial artist, Michelle Waterson.

Some may have remember this Asian Persuasion from Fight Girls reality show on theOxygen television network. She was also featured as one of the fighters in the MTV/MTV2 reality show Bully Beatdown. Fellas, can you actually imagine having a woman like that? You have to both a lover and a fighter; Honestly, you maybe be doing more fighting than anything lol.

Jean Paul Gaultier – Haute Couture Collection 2012

Presenting the Images of the Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture 2012 collection. There are some very retro looks who possess an abundance of nostalgic sexy looks. I am sure the inspiration was from Amy Winehouse from the observing the cat eye make up and the bee hive hair wrap. The color palette really kept my attention from start to finish.

Christian Dior : Couture Collection 2012

Its quite interesting how I would have to view a Christian Dior couture show without John Galliano. He was considered to be one of my all time favorite designers with his strong theatrical Victorian inspired aesthetic. During the time Paris Fashion Week was slowly being approached, I was skeptical whether they will reveal a couture collection or not. The collection turned over a new leaf.

The collection exudes 1960’s fashion with its gingham, houndstooth print and draping of the dresses. There were some ensembles with beaded crystals, embroilment flowers, and sheer gowns delivering a sexy nostalgic appeal. I am personally glad to see Dior being back in the scene.
