AMI continues to stay true!

It’s not often you actually see a fashion show where you admire EVERY piece. Sometimes you have to break down each ensemble be somewhat satisfied or to see someone else rock with complete justice. However, AMI has been on the scene for a few short years and hasn’t missed a bit. This is a label who creates clothing for people without trying to “play fashion” by looking like jackasses!

AMI’s collection gives the “don’t take clothing so seriously” vibe. The magic is so put on something dope and forget you even have it on that’s what makes them so great! Sometimes we focus too much about who know wearing. We need to let our style do the talking!

Very sleek and minimal designs captivated by the latest collection for Rad Hourani. The label is synonymous for its unisex garments, which express the perspective like designers such as Yohji Yamamoto. Sometimes fashion should provide equality. Equality should not become a glass ceiling towards ones approach to life or sense of style.  In fact, we all are inspired from the opposite sex. One way or another, we share ideas and emotions in which creates a dichotomy energy circulating our existence. Personally, there are some items I would love to work; On the other hand, there are some which I would not even bother. However, it doesn’t mean it wouldn’t look great on anyone else lol.

Black Scale – Fall 2013 lookbook

After releasing a summer 2013 lookbook that caught everyone off-guard, Black Scale returns with a fall 2013 lookbook that’s a little less weird. Edgy imagery depicting borderline occult themes and dark vibes put the brand back on track to what we know them best for. The upcoming season offers a strong selection of varsity jackets and sweaters that fans should get excited about. There are plenty of plays on prints, including of-the-moment paisley, snakeskin, stained-glass patterns, knit prints, and leopard patterns.

As fall gets near, closer and more detailed images of the items should appear. Don’t sleep on any of these pieces. Judging by this lookbook, the collection looks solid.

Brooks Brothers “The Great Gatsby” Lookbook

 

I remember my junior year of high school reading “The Great Gatsby” actually made me think about the finer things in life. The lavish parties, beautiful women, and clothes. There was a mystique about Gatsby I could relate to. What’s relatable about menswear are the classic essentials. Brooks Brothers, the father of Americana Fashion, designed a collection for the new film adaptation of “The Great Gatsby” . You are never get wrong with classics. There is something about the sophistication of the garments that was truly . To be honest, I would have love to see Michael Bastian designed for the film. However, they wanted to start true to the aesthetic F. Scott Fitzgerald desired (agree to disagree). Nevertheless, it’s still a good collection..

Stampd’ LA – fall lookbook 2012

 I have a huge addiction to “Dope” shit. It’s often best not to start a relapse on mediocrity. Fortunately, for this street style brand, Stampd’ LA, it’s not the case. Presenting the fall 2012 lookbook featuring “dope” apparel and accessories. The brand is slightly expanding with their choice of high quality accessories from Small Leather Goods to Pony Hair Snap Backs, our collection continues to expand. If there is a minimalist streetwear, it’s obviously them.

10/10 2012 Fall/Winter lookbook

Thai designer Sup Suphanut Suwansanya and his menswear label 10/10, displays an array of contemporary clothing inspired by a broad spectrum of influences including geometrical shapes and anime (i.e. Gundam). I love the range how the design blended the tailored clothing, streetwear, and the avant-garde with a futuristic twist. Of course, this is not the first someone has not given a futuristic approach to their collections. However, its much refreshing to see its from a collections you normally don’t from in many fashion magazines. 

Due to the era we will live, its not unusual to see how carbon copies hit the runways, streets, or anything in natural. This collection was retroactively inspired with a futuristic twist, which is cool to rock in the present. This collection is indeed dope!

Marc Stone – Spring/Summer lookbook 2013

Marc Stone presents his spring/summer 2013 lookbook, a collaboration with Icelandic artist Thelma Herzl by providing some strong spring staples. Through the lens of Ryan Jerome, the extensive collection of suiting and casual wear in hues of cool aqua, light taupe, electric orange, and a beautiful volcanic ash-inspired print.

Marc Stone tackled relaxed silhouettes such as draped trousers and knits to structured staples including sleek suiting with meticulous and geometric finishes which gives a great contemporary look. I am sucker for designer t-shirts and they are a winner in my book!

Alexander McQueen – 2013 Resort Collection

This was a resort collection which raised my eye brow (in a good way). I totally appreciate the juxtaposition Sarah Burton (creative director of Alexander Mcqueen) has done with this 2013 collection. I love the contrast piping in the women’s blazers while high waist trousers were shown throughout the collection. Beautiful textures of metallic gold and silver embossed from the daywear to evening wear. The evening wear was perhaps my favorite because of ageless appeal the garments delivered. On the other hand, the collection gives me a more mature collection (i.e. Carolina Herrera). Naturally, fashion is not always for the young and vibrant. Lets just call this collection, sophisticated.

Play Cloths lookbook

Stephania Arenas has graces the latest lookbook for Pusha T and Malice (The Clipse)’s Play Cloths collection. There appears to be some boy meets girls looks. Mad sex appeal with an urban touch is direction with collection. Mrs. Arenas did a pretty dope job doing so.

Mango – Fall 2012 lookbook

Mango‘s fall 2012 lookbook has taken a turn towards girl meets menswear. The Spanish label’s autumn collection is all about style with ease as shown by the large selection of casual knits, heavy jackets and denim. It is pretty dope how these pieces can worn by any woman who wishes to put more use into her garments, individually. From daywear to nightwear, each piece serves its purpose. The collection has a way to give each piece their own individuality, which could compliment the woman’s sense of style. Most lookbooks or collection has a specific aesthetic, which becomes recognizable. However, this is not the case with Mango. My favorite is the chunky nude hued knitwear with animal print denims shown above executed a beautiful movement regards to texture.
