Lanvin: Fall/Winter Women’s ready to wear 2012 collection

Lanvin’s fall 2012 collection gave a direction which I was not prepared towards! Whenever I think about Lanvin, I think about beautiful color palettes with laser cut clean lines with the greatest draping garments. The color palette was black and white. Black and White is my favorite color combination, but this is something hard to digest. This is expected from a Dior or Chanel of course.

The collection featured a textures of velvet skirts which float itself in the air with sleeveless blouses. Then creative director, Alber Elbaz flipped the scripted with a showcase of embellished dresses loaded with luxurious studs and jewels. The collection’s accessories was an attention grabber! Giving the imagination of the glamorous nostalgic women of Hollywood, the models were accessorize in mink scarves and classical gloves, which are practically non-existent in our generation!

It has been 10 years since Alber Elbaz has been with the brand. There has not been a dull moment and he only gets better.

Alber Elbaz for Dior???

There has been hella speculation that Lanvin’s designer Alber Elbaz will be leaving them for Parisian fashion house, Dior. With John Galliano out of the picture, this is going to be some talk if this is really confirmed. Ironically once I heard about the speculation about Hedi Slimane and Stefano Pilati, the thought of Lanvin trying to maintain the leash on Elbaz (no pun intended). After all Elbaz has performed remarkable collections (also the viral collaboration for H&M in 2010), which make this label to be one of the best out there!! If he does leave there will be the equivalent to Tom Ford leaving Gucci.

Justin Bieber @ the Golden Globe awards

I definitely know a D&G suit when I see one! The lanvin lace ups with the thick white sole are everything! Justin Bieber truly gave the look formal/causal look a decent result. The only reason I stated it was decent because the suit should have been more tailored opposed to being very loose (think Taylor Lautner).  I really want those shoes!!

ASOS Shawl Collar Slim Fit Tuxedo Navy Jacket

Some of us fashionistas were not able to grasp the recent Lanvin for H&M collection. Considering the fact it was only available in selective locations caused a slight devastating effect upon us. However, some substitutions are made equal. Take this tux for instance. It is a shawl collar navy blue one buttoned tuxedo jacket by ASOS. The collar is contrasted as black. This jacket is quite elegant and would suffice from the H&M collection.

This jacket is so sickening beyond measure! Obviously you can dress this up going to a formal event or wanna exhibit a more urban chicness by layering a t-shirt with some straight leg jeans, scarf, loafers, or sneakers. Once again, Its your prerogative! Its kinda kanye, but its all about how you gonna translate your swag or style in the mix.  The jacket can definitely provide some mileage like a Kardashian (was that shade??? I think it was the truth lol). All jokes aside, you can really give alot of diversity in this jacket.

For the price of $172.00 isn’t not bad at all! Asos is a site I discovered sometime last year. I would consider them kinda like a british H&M or forever 21, but better.  Hate giving out of my discovered sources, but tis the season to be jolly; therefore, I am sharing the wealth.  expect to see pics with tux for new years. happy holidays!

Lanvin for H&M Haute Couture Fashion Show

Once again another Lanvin for H&M presented by yours truly! I must say I can not resist the aesthetic Aber Elbaz possess into his work. The only thing I hate is the fact the collection was so fucking limited!! I wish there was more stuff like this because I am sick and tired of seeing chicks rocking BeBe thinking its haute couture or even avant garde with those overrated egos. Enough of my venting, enjoy.

Kanye Expanding

Kanye West has released his long anticpated  album, My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy this past monday (bought 2 Deluxe Copies). The album was  adefinitely wait, but according to (http://www.hiphopwired.com), Kanye is expecting to expand his business into fashion and fragrance industry. The launch will be sometime next year. He will working along  fashion house, Lanvin, on a high end fashion line.

I am quite frankly thrilled of his new business ventures, but the only thing that struck me whether he acknowledges many of his fans will be able to afford the garments of his fashion line? Not saying it should available at stores such as Kohls (no pun intended) or anything. What is going to look like? Will it be another BBC or  A Bathing Ape? I highly doubt it will be in comparison towards those 2 lines; however, people would be curious on its clothing style. Regardless its gonna kill ten fold! 2011 is going to be a great year for of us!

Now I must say, I am feeling it. The navy overcoat definitely give me Burberry Prorsum without a doubt. The tailoring of the garments looks like they have came straight out of the runway heading towards the shoot. There is a mix of sophistication fused with Party Boy chic.

You guys were what in the hell you all were doing! they  knowing everyone wasn’t going to be privileged to experience this. Pretty sure all of the fashion heads out there will be faceless in the long lines. stay chic! click below for the other looks.

Lanvin for H&M

Talk about waiting till 3 o clock in the morning to watch this. Personally, I think the garments were nice, but there was no wow factor for me. I liked it, but then again its Lanvin, Lanvin. THey can do anything.
