H&M’s Web-Store Confirmation

hm-pano_25032H&M has always had an online presence, but try to buy something from the fast fashion brand’s website, and you will get sent straight to the nearest store. An online shop was  always the downfall of the brand. It was first reported that the date for the launch of the much-anticipated feature would be around June 2013. Unfortunately, we surpassed mid July!

On the other hand, there has been notification the fast fashion brand will be launching their US web store in August. Honestly, that’s that shit which pisses me off. It has been speculation the brand were going to launch a store in Louisville this fall. Soon as we gotten our wish from rubbing the fashion genie bottle, the web store will be launched around the same time. I suppose its better late than never. Hopefully it will be worth the wait.

Rumor: Givenchy and H&M to collaborate in 2013

It hasn’t been 2 weeks since the launch of the Maison Martin Margiela and H&M and there is already speculation of the next designer placed on deck for 2013. early rumors are suggesting that fast fashion powerhouse H&M’s latest collaboration is to be none other than Givenchy (Gee Von Chee). Supposedly, the two labels will be joining forces in 2013. While H&M’s roster consist of Marni, Maison Martin Margiela and Versace collaborations, it would not be a surprised if this is true. Once again, this is not confirmed, but this news is completely viral at this moment!
Soapbox: My only concern is how would it affect the “Givenchy Fad” with the hypebeast out there rocking the “rottweiler” shirts or whatnot. Once upon a time, the urban community was totally aware of Givenchy (let alone failed to pronounce it correctly). Since Your favorite rappers wearing it, they want to! I appreciate EVERYTHING Riccardo Tisci has done with the label since he has arrived, but I am skeptical how this is going to turn. Lets not make this another “Ed Hardy” fad.. lol.. stay tuned.

Maison Martin Margiela for H&M campaign

Finally, there are images of H&M’s collaboration with Maison Martin Margiela has cracked the surface. During this campaign, the Belgian fashion house appear to execute their avant garde and futuristic designs in outerwear following a neutral color palette. Clearly these are statement pieces which will provide great use for those who seek to dress unconventional. Judging from the collection so far, I would not expect it to win every person (Americans mainly). Most of the time, consumers tend to take the conservative seat while the artist driven will be standing in lines for this highly anticipated collection next month!

Maison Martin Margiela + H&M 2012

Looks as if one of my favorite designers, Maison Martin Margiela will be next to capture his aesthetics with H&M’s upcoming fall 2012 collection. The Belgian designer (Parisian fashion house), who has never been photographed, will have an array of pieces for both men and women. At the moment, there has not been a lookbook as of yet for the November 15th launch date.

Far as the collection, I have no doubts. They did well with all of the collections, campaigns, etc. I questioned the Versace resort collection, but it was decent (women’s collection won it over). With Margiela, I am expecting something more European and a touch of avant grade pieces. The sneakers I will be anticipating to see whether they will make or not. If so, they are going to instantly selling to where people are going to fight over based on the low price; they are normally sold for $680.00

My only problem will be the hypebeast bragging about Margiela when they don’t know shit about him or his aesthetic besides hearing Kanye or Jay-Z mentioning him. The guy has never been seen nor photographed.. Hypebeast or not, we will have to wait and see what the lookbook is looking like really soon!

H&M Lookbook fall 2012

This Lookbook for H&M has an array of tailored outerwear garments, shirting, suiting and footwear, highlighted by a rich and colorful color palette. There are some pretty dope staples to get in the lookbook such as the varsity jacket and Duffle coat. Those are two items that are classic and wear for years to come! The collection shows their collections are growing and looking better than ever.

Anna Della Russo for H&M

H&M has partnered with Anna Dello Russo on an accessories collection. This amazing collection will be launched in early October. In the teaser video, the Vogue Nippon editor gushes about children’s books, plays with baubles and delights in their clinking sound, tells us how much she loves the sparkly and the precious.

It is quite amazing to see the saturated amount of high fashion designers who happens to release collections more than your southern rapper release mixtapes. I sense these designers are very consciousiness of the economy’s estate state. The shade about the who deal is the fact people are hi-jacking the prices than the suggested retail on ebay. I am not knocking anyone’s hustle, but “I am just saying” .

H&M’s Expansion

Swedish retail giant H&M has confirmed that it’s planning to open a new brand in 2013.

While the company wouldn’t characterize exactly what price range the chain will occupy, CEO Karl-Johan Persson said in a press release that the new chain is part of a plan to secure H&M’s future as a major player in retail.

“We have many different projects in progress and already next year we will be launching a completely new store chain,” Persson said. “Like Cos, which today is very successful with good profitability, the new chain of stores will be independent and complement the other offerings from the group. We have great faith in this new brand and we see considerable potential for further initiatives.”

Cos is the highest priced and most fashion-oriented of the many brands H&M owns and operates, and if that’s the brand that compares best with the new business, it’s possible that next year will see the launch of the rumored luxury line.

Rumblings of an H&M-backed luxury line started over the weekend after the Swedish financial newspaper Dagens Industri reported that the company would venture into high-fashion territory. Representatives for H&M did not respond to requests for more information about the new line by the time of this post.

>> Update: An H&M spokeswoman told Fashionologie that the new brand will cost more than H&M, but is not being classified as a luxury label. “A new store chain will be launched in 2013 under a separate brand with a higher price point,” she said. “It will not be a luxury brand, but it will be a retail chain that will follow the same ambition as H&M, to offer our customers the best price for a comparable item.”

Looks for Spring 2012

This is no such thing not as being unprepared for the upcoming season. This recent video from H&M is giving the ladies a taste of some inspirational looks for their wardrobe. As you can see, Color Blocking is still on trend for 2012. Vibrant hues and clean line flattering the sexy silhouettes shall gain our eyes. One thing about this video I truly love was the versatility. Each individual garment possess its own energy transforming looks from the office to out with friends to suit your style. Experimenting different looks and style should be fun and easy this spring!

Versace for H&M Cruise Collection 2012 – lookbook

Models River Viiperi and Abbey Lee Kershaw are featured for the Versace for H&M Cruise 2012 season. Judging from looking at the lookbook, I will take back what I previously from the other post. The looks are taking a different aesthetic from its Rock & Roll predecessor. The collection will be launched on January 19th (my birthday), exclusively on H&M Online.

My main concern is some of us Americans will get the privilege to purchase these items online? Zara has finally pleased us with a e-commerce site. H&M needs to get on aboard an e-commerce for the United States. We need some of us needs these garments dammit!
